If not, you can still hear audio from the meeting and attendees will be able to hear you if you switch over to Phone Call. If you have a microphone connected to your computer, you can just choose Join with Computer Audio. That pops open this window and I'm prompted to decide where I want my audio to come from. So notice there's a slash through the camera icon, indicating my camera will be off when I start the meeting, but I'll click it to start the meeting. I'll leave that unchecked for the moment so my video isn't a distraction while I talk about the other parts of the interface here. So if I wanted to bypass the web interface, I could just start right here in the desktop app and I could choose New Meeting to start a meeting right away, or I can click this arrow next New Meeting and decide if I want my video to appear right away, or I can uncheck this to start the meeting without my video camera enabled. And I'm just going to end this for a moment so we can look at the Zoom app itself. So I'm now currently inside a Zoom meeting. If I wanted to start a meeting right away and I was logged into the web interface, I can come up here to Host a Meeting, and here we see With Video Off, With Video On, and Screen Share Only. So basically, you can either start a meeting immediately or you can schedule a meeting for later. I'm currently logged into my account at, but you could also be using the desktop app, which we saw how to download and install earlier. You're essentially the moderator who's in charge and in control of the meeting's settings and the abilities the participants have in that meeting. When you create a meeting, you're considered the host of that meeting.
